Do you love Halloween as much as I do?! I’m always looking forward to autumn. As soon as there are different kinds of pumpkins in the supermarket, Halloween has arrived. I start to cuddle up at home with a tasty tea in my hand and watch scary movies. But of course there is still one little thing missing: a delicious halloween treat.

The snacks are not very healthy but I think balance is the key. This year I decided to bake sweet mummies in puff pastry. This recipe is incredibly easy to make (with only 3 ingredients!!!) and very tasty. For
How do you create eyes?
For the eyes there are several possibilities, either you buy already finished sugar eyes (this is of course the easiest possibility) or you make eyes out of fondant. I actually made them with Oreo cookies. I separated the cream and added it on the puff pastry. After that I simply pressed a chocolate drop into it (but only do it when the mummies are no longer hot).

Ingredients
- Puff Pastry
- Peanut Butter
- Strawberry Jam
Instructions
- Unroll the pastry and cut one sheet into 12 rectangles
- Spread peanut butter and then strawberry jam on the rectangles
- Place puff pastry stripes on your filling, so that it looks like a Mummy and gently press the edges to seal
- Then brush it with water and put it in the oven for about 15 minutes
Bat Cupcakes with Peanut Butter Frosting
My second Halloween snack are Oreo Bats on a Chocolate Cupcake with Peanut Butter Frosting. A very tasty snack, it is also perfect for Halloween parties but you have to spend more time preparing them.
Oreo Bat Cupcakes with Peanut Butter Frosting
Ingredients
- 175 gr sugar
- 40 gr cocoa powder
- 190 gr flour
- 1/2 packet baking powder
- 260 ml hot water
- 60 ml coconut oil
- 1 tbsp apple cider
- 1 pinch of salt
Frosting
- 1 1/2 cups peanut butter
- 1/2 cup butter
- 3-4 tbs of milk
- 2 cups powder sugar
Instructions
- At first seperate dry and wet ingredients
- Mix it together and slowly add the wet to the dry ingredients
- Stir it well, put it in your muffin forms and then bake it in the oven for 15 min.
- For the frosting mix everything together (melt butter before)
- Whisk together until smooth (start off slowly) then beat in 3-4 tbsp milk
- Pipe the frosting onto the cupcakes
